Presentation

Worlds of Tomorrow presents an overview of the latest discoveries and significant innovations, in all fields. The aim of the book is to shed light on the issues, functioning and practical implications of technologies that are ever more present in our lives; to decode the part of the future in the present and to open new horizons.

Very colorful, it is made up of nearly 150 articles divided into 7 parts – Our body, Our society, Our relationships, Our playgrounds, Our well-being, Our new conquests, Our planet – and interviews with pioneers and experts, including: scientist and astronaut Claudie Haigneré; the computer scientist Gérard Le Lann, one of the creators of the Internet; the musician Jean-Michel Jarre; infectious disease specialist Anne-Claude Crémieux; the adventurer and inventor Bertrand Piccard; the scientist and former director of the European Space Agency Jean-Jacques Dordain…

The book addresses notions that are sometimes technical, but always explained in a clear, simple and pictorial manner, for the general public and the whole family.
